COLORADD® – color is for all

ColorAdd, Premium Fiber to Fabric, Casa da Malha

To make our company as inclusive as possible, we got in touch with ColorADD® to adapt internal identifications, such as security and operational tools in which every color has a different meaning.

There are currently 350 million color-blind people globally. Estimates indicate that 42% of these people feel it is difficult to integrate into society.

Created by the Portuguese designer Miguel Neiva, ColorADD® is a unique, universal, inclusive, and non-discriminative language allowing color-blind people to identify colors whenever color is a factor of identification, orientation, or choice. It limits the constraints and exclusion they face due to their inability to distinguish them. This language is intuitive and symbolic, where the entire color palette/code is built from the primary colors and their combination.

We also realized that it made sense to apply this language to all our knits since color plays a vital role in our knit development and the perception of our customers. Our main goal with using ColorADD® language in our knits is to take it to the final client, the final brand consumer, contributing to a high social positive impact in the local and global community by cultivating awareness and inclusivity for all.
